What a race! The sorrel filly Swiss Skydiver beats Authentic in a neck to neck finish at the Preakness! First time a filly has won since 2009! She won with a 11/1 odds! The third place was Jesus’ Team with a 40/1 !
What a total surprise! This was one of those races that was fought for right up until the nose to nose finish by these two horses! They completely ran away from the rest of the field of horses! Another race that wins bragging rights!

Weird that the Preakness was just run. But I'm glad a filly won the race. I'll have to see it on youtube.

The race before this one that the filly ran was even more amazing even though she only won second place! She broke bad and was at the back of the field and came all the way through them to catch up and finish just a nose behind the winner! What a race!

Because most often the colts are stronger than the fillies. That's why not many race in the Triple Crown.

She may be a thoroughbred but she's built like a quarter horse and so was Secretariat. Powerful hindquarters and a deep and wide chest. I didn't get a good look of her ears and hocks. Coming down the home stretch I compared the two body types. The second-place looks like a thoroughbred and she looks more like a quarterhorse. I think some smart breeders have been doing some gene splicing or editing the breeding records. Winning is the most important thing with horse racers and it should be. Purebloods has always been a myth. Arabians were used to create the Thoroughbred by crossbreeding. Now, I think it's happening again. Just my opinion.
