Saul David Alinsky was an American community organizer and writer.
He is generally considered to be the founder of modern community
organizing. He is often noted for his book Rules for Radicals.
There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able
to create a social state. The first is the most important.
1) Healthcare--Control healthcare and you control the people
2) Poverty--Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor
people are easier to control and will not fight back if you
are providing everything for them to live.
3) Debt--Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are
able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control--Remove the ability to defend themselves from the
government. That way you are able to create a
police state.
5) Welfare--Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing,
and Income)
6) Education--Take control of what people read and listen to--take
control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion--Remove the belief in the God from the Government and
schools.
8) Class Warfare--Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor.
This will cause more discontent and it will be easier
to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Don't be absurd, it is part of the Marxist platform that is now part of the Democrat Party agenda.

You really should read Alansky’s actual writings. What you posted is a false portrayal of his writings that has been circulated for the past decade or so in the hopes of discrediting progressive policy. The real rules for radicals is a manual for community organizers to put together powerless groups to influence local government to work for people in neighborhoods instead of wealthy special interests. You can likely get a copy of his book at your local library.
The cry of the Democratic party wants socialism is the boogyman mantra designed to scare, not to inform.

It's today's leftist controlled Democrats' political playbook, and every single item on the list is in play.

Looks accurate to me, what it amounts to is Alinsky 101 without the filler and hype.
Anyone from a genius to a knucklehead can see that everything on that list corresponds with something the Democrats are trying to peddle, which doesn't say much for anyone who supports that political party and still has the moxi to call himself an American.

I'm quite familiar with Alinsky's writings, Kevyn. He was a Socialist and his writings bear it out. Rules for Radicals is probably the most well-known of his writings but there is no denying he held all of these tactics high in his teachings. Do you deny that these 8 points are not embraced by the current Democrat cabal? These points were often denied by the Democrats until the most recent group. These make no secret of their desire to turn America into a Socialist country. I'm sure they won't say so in a debate but if you pay close attention, it is clear. Does your distinction between "Rules for Radicals" and Socialism principles mean you don't agree with Socialism?

I have read the book and have a copy on my bookshelf. All of this and more is true of today's Democrat Party, especially his chapter on "Of Means And Ends." If Democrats ever get full control they will destroy every principle on which this country was founded and THe Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights will be totally discarded. That is one great reason the nominee to the SCOTUS must be confirmed ASAP. The Democrats fear her as an obstacle to forcing their Marxist agenda on America.

The Obama economy in 10 charts
One of the biggest criticisms of Obama's economy is that growth has been sluggish. Historically, the U.S. economy has expanded 3% or more a year, on average.
A big part of the concern stems from the fact that incomes aren't growing very much. The median household income in America is now $56,516 -- lower than what it was prior to the recession.
Food stamp use peaked in 2013 and has fallen slightly since, although it remains a elevated levels and far higher than when President Obama took office in 2009. It's another sign the recovery isn't reaching everybody yet.
But while manufacturing output has returned, blue-collar jobs have not. U.S. manufacturing employment has declined by about 100,000 jobs since Obama took office.
Gas prices are notorious for fluctuating wildly. During Obama's tenure, the national average for a gallon of regular gas has been as high as almost $4 in 2011 and as low as $1.85 a gallon the month he took office.

This platform was later turned over to Ronald Reagan along with bucketfuls of Cash to get it all enacted.
