This just in from the Governor of TX. This will probably be derided by the Liberal posters who are so much smarter than a mere governor of the 2nd largest state.

Last night on Sean Hannity’s Fox program, Texas Governor Rick Perry again stressed the impact of the border crisis. Speaking about his decision to send National Guard troops to the border for extra security, Perry defended Texas’ right to protect themselves from this onslaught of illegal immigrants.

“Americans can no longer stand to see a border open to the type of individuals who are coming across,” Perry told Hannity. “Sean, there have been over the course of the last five years, since the fall of ’08, over 203,000 individuals who have come into Texas illegally that have been booked into our county jails. Those individuals have accounted for over 3,000 homicides and over 8,000 sexual assaults.”

Wrapping up, Perry said, “We can’t wait for Washington to secure this border.”

Perry isn’t the only Texas lawman speaking out against the multitude of crimes the state has fallen victim to. Last week, state Senator Dan Patrick told Laura Ingraham that more than 143,000 illegals were arrested for crimes between 2008 and 2012.

“We charged them with 447,000 crimes, a half-million crimes in four years, just in Texas, including over 5,000 rapes and 2,000 murders. We estimate we have 100,000 gang members here illegally.”

These statements clash with the media’s insistence that it is only unaccompanied minors coming across the border, creating a humanitarian disaster that must be dealt with before we consider any serious solutions. It is to these children that defenders continually point, asking conservatives if they are without heart or compassion. But where is the left’s heart and compassion for the thousands of victims of violent crime perpetrated by illegal immigrants from South and Central America? Where is their compassion for the millions of Americans who remain unemployed even as we spend millions trying to assimilate illegals into our economy?

That compassion seems to be missing, but in its place is plenty of anger. Breitbart reports that La Raza President and CEO Janet Murguia is on the warpath, warning Republican 2016 nominees that they will not get to the White House by any other means but attracting Hispanic voters. Murguia went on record to say that “USA!” chants at nationwide illegal immigration protests made her “sick.” Her plan for Republicans who want to succeed: give amnesty to the 11 million illegal immigrants currently here, support the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, and condemn illegal immigration protests as un-American.

Well, if that’s the only path to the White House in 2016, here’s to another four years of Democrat rule. We’ve already heard from plenty of RINOs who would be happy to take the party in that direction, but it’s unclear what that wins us – true conservatives – when they take the presidency. If the country is going to go to the dogs, we may as well let the donkeys take us there

Republicans have controlled texas the past twenty years including the past 12 under perry and have done nothing about their border problems. Now he says they have a crisis on their hands. I wonder how many million illegals have crossed their border the past 20 years perry and bush didn't give a shit about since they view them as nothing but cheap labor for business?

Nice poet! Especially the last sentence. Donkeys move faster than elephants and since the country is going to the dogs, we may as well get it over with! Maybe then we can rebuild into a true republic again! That's only if the people see the err of their ways!

Yes I'm sure that all of elites regardless of their convictions either liberal or conservative appreciate the cheep labor! However it is the responsibility of the U.S. government to control the borders. This has not been done by any president! If border patrol officers are busy babysitting and changing diapers rather than trying to stop illegals from crossing, That should pretty much qualify as a crisis!

Ahhhh, the typical liberal Bush-hating cop out. I won't disagree with the cheap labor comment, that is why I am a member of the Tea Party, and dislike the GOP establishment almost as much as the Democrats. But, I will ask you this question; "have you ever visited the Texas border?" I have, and about the only way you can truly control it is with land mines on the Texas side of the Rio Grande...you know, like what is present at the border of North and South Korea. It would be almost impossible to build a fence, especially through the Big Bend country. The solution is to make it as miserable as possible for them when they get here...deport, deport, deport!

Nothing has been done about the border well before I was born and I'd say nothing will be done about it now or well into the future after we are long gone. If you want to help with the border issues start going after those businesses who hire illegals in the first place. Most people will not go where they are not wanted including illegals. Or you could shoot everyone of them who tries to cross the border which has been suggested around here many times by the nuttier posters.

I agree with the first part, but not the shooting part. Like I said, make it miserable for them when they get here, going after businesses who hire them is just part of it. We also need to detain them, and then deport them immediately.

It is absolutely the Federal government duty to protect our borders. Becoming a citizen in this country is just like everything else that our government does, it's horrible. Another thing you guys miss on its not the guys going to work for every restaurant that you eat at or building every house we live in that's the problem. Their not the ones robbing, murdering or committing rape. Going after the companies the hire these people will not solve your problem. I have no problem with making then become a US citizen or be deported. I also don't have a problem with making them prove that they will be able to contribute and need no government assistance. He'll I'd even be willing to trade some of the citizens we have now for some of them.
