Legal money laundering

In my State, out of State attorney's are contracted to deal with various issues for State departments - even though these departments have local attorney's on retainer. Why? Simple; those out of State attorney's are political donors or represent those donors. This is a way to use taxpayer money to reimburse those donors and encourage them to keep donating.

Taxpayers spend billions a year leasing building space, while sitting on 100's of vacant buildings those taxpayers own. Bear in mind, those vacant buildings aren't left to rot, no, taxpayers continue to pay for utilities, maintenance and 24/7 security for those empty buildings. Why lease space instead of using space taxpayers already own? Simple; the buildings leased are owned by donors, or are owned wholly or in part by elected officials. This is a way to reimburse donors and encourage them to continue donating, and a way to transfer taxpayer money into the pockets of elected officials.

Taxpayers spend billions a year leasing office machinery, while 1000's of machines worth 100's of millions languish in taxpayer owned warehouses until they become obsolete, which are then auctioned off at pennies on the dollar. Why such mismanagement? Simple; the machines are purchased from companies owned by elected officials or donors, AND, the machines leased are from companies owned by elected officials or donors. This is a way for elected officials to funnel taxpayer dollars into their personal accounts, and reimburse donors.

The actual dollar amounts transferred from the US Treasury into personal or business accounts of elected officials and political donors is unknown, as those self same elected officials make sure that procedures are in place to obscure those transactions. That being said, the situations I've outlined here are obvious money laundering operations.

My guess is, that these three examples are just the most obvious, suggesting that there is much more to uncover. When taxpayers are forced to rely on elected officials to protect the National Treasure, it encourages those same officials to dip their hands in the til, knowing they'll ever get caught? How do they know this? We expect these elected officials to................................police themselves. That's akin to asking a drug cartel to wage the war on drugs.

Lessons tend to stick better if folks do their own work. How can money laundering be legal? The same way insider trading is legal for Congress....................they write their own rules.

Exactly. How can corporations and the wealthy spend billions in campaign contributions and still make billions in profit? Well, I've just explained that, yes?
