Reading posts and blogs in the last several years, many scholars and pundits on both the Liberal and Conservative sides have written and made videos referring to college students as "kids" and stating that they're "still maturing"...
Taking these scholars and pundits as being truthful... How can "immature" "kids" be seen as ready to vote, let alone marry?!?
I'm therefore obliged to state that the Federal Government, the 50 States, and Washington, D.C. should all change their voting and marriage ages from eighteen to twenty-one...
This will ensure "mature" "adults" are seen as ready to vote and marry throughout Our USA...

Maturity and cognitive capabilities are different in a world full of science and legal principals of law in recognizing responsible reasoning..Take driving rights under the laws.. Some say 16, others say 18..Why, because different measures apply to cognitive ability and skills vs responsible decisions.. Same as executing a contract, 16 too young to have the cognitive skill to understand the legality, 21 contractually binding with the assumption they now have the cognitive skill necessary to decipher, reason and understand the contract..
More often than not wills used to leave whatever to whomever when reaching the age of 21, over the years more and more parents recognize their childs lack of maturity at 21 and moved the inheritance age to 26 assuming by then they would be more responsible with better clarity than at 21..
The left is pushing to reduce the age of voting to 16 which I find absolutely obscene.. .Are we going to also accept contract law, military enlistment, marriages, at 16 too?? Or how about the proven fact women mature earlier than men?? should we leave men to 18 even to 21 before they are deemed “mature enough” to vote, drink, go to war, marry, drive etc???
A majority of House Democrats on voted to lower the federal voting age from 18 to 16.
A number of high-profile Democrats voted in favor of the legislation, including California Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, Maxine Waters and Ted Lieu, Hawaii Rep. and Democratic presidential candidate New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Democratic Massachusetts Rep.Pressley introduced the legislation ??? as an amendment to House Democrats’ “For The People Act,” which would overhaul federal election laws... I know, I followed it!!!
The amendment fell short at 126-305.
House Democrats voted 125-108 in favor of the amendment, with two members voting present and three members not voting.
House Republicans voted against the amendment 197-1. Texas Rep. Michael Burgess was the only Republican to vote aye.
