Rep. Shakowsky (D-Ill) shows a lot more lack of understanding of economics than any other liberals I know of. The people who elected her to the House must be at least as stupid as she is or they couldn't have done such a dastardly deed.

The woman says that passing the comprehensive immigration bill would surely raise the wages of all Americans. I don't know how the Dems have convinced her of this but they must have done a job on a lot of Congress people. Without saying word one about amnesty she says we would all be helped by that amnesty. I don't think we old people would be helped at all by passage of that amnesty bill since we would have to see our whole Social Security monthly check handed to those new Democrat voters.

Read her words or just listen to them and you can see just how far from reality the Democrats really are.

I would say she must have done her economics study at PS 144, wherever that could be. Grade 6, maybe.

They have talked about immigration reform so long that people really think reform is what they mean. I remember 2006 when RINO McCain, Dem. Kennedy, and Pres. Bush pushed so hard for that immigration reform bill that was nothing but amnesty and this time around it is the same thing. They got that one through the Senate but the House wouldn't even take up discussion of it kind of like Dirty Harry does things these days.

Hi Grace: While I respect your opinion about immigration, my view is deport, deport deport. Ot 15 years in prison at hard labor making sanitary napkins or pee underware, or something. Not welfare, not schooling, no nuttin. You try and enter Mexico and see what you get. Why should we be any better than Mexico or any foreign country. Nothing should go to illegals. Nothing! My own kids that kiss my butt for the money get nothing. I have the guts to say no.

It wouldn't raise the wages of all Americans but it would raise the wages of undocumented workers and raise tax revenue for Social Security and Medicare through increased payroll taxes so Social Security and Medicare would be a beneficiary. I think that she and Harry Reid are both drinking from the same water fountain along with a lot of others from Washington DC. Either that or it is the Obama coolaid that they are required to drink before each session.But she is from IL and that could also be her excuse as the communist capital of the US Chicago style politics and Dick the communist Durbin can attest to.
