I watched a video today where college students were asked:
When was the Revolutionary War fought? And who did We fight?
When was the Civil War fought? And who fought it?
Who did We fight in the Vietnam War?
And at least 3 out of 4 students didn't know any of the answers!!!
In the last 20 years or so I've seen videos where High School Seniors think the Moon is larger than the Sun, that don't know how many Stars are on the USA Flag or even what the Stars represent, that think Africa is a country!!!
It's not Sad!!! It's Tragic!!!
But I don't think the students are to blame. It's the people who have run the Educational Systems who are to blame. The Administrators, the Local and State Teachers Unions who haven't used their influence to better Educate Our Children. They are to blame.
Until We vote for Local, State, and Federal Officials who will look to drastically improve what's being taught on every Level, Our Posterity will be Lost.

It is the unions. Unions for any group of workers that are essentially working for a Government are a disaster for the people under that Government.
Why? Because they essentially blackmail the Government over votes to get whatever they want in raises and work rules.
Teachers? They use your kids as hostage, strike for ever increasing wages and pensions, easier work rules and curriculums that are Socialist, leftist crap while you kids don't learn the basics of life and fall further behind the rest of the developed countries across the world. They always say it is for the kids, but there is always a wage increase slightly better the other teachers, and other jobs and inflation, to much higher increases. And the School Boards eventually give in because there are a bunch of hollering parents walking the picket line with those teachers, and they are blinded by bull shite and mommies little dumpling who the teachers are going to teach. Bull shite. They also have these policies where everyone graduates, no matter what they learn, so there is no incentive to learn. Throw in Social Studies and Gender Studies in place of History and Civics and they can't function in society honorably. Current protesters are ripe examples. And remember, they can't discipline these babies so all they get is time outs and have no respect for legitimate authority like a Police Officer giving a valid order to preserve order and prevent bad things from happening. I could go on, but if you are intelligent, you see the problem.
Solution. Vote out Democrats and demand other candidates take a firm stand for success and no union bull shite. They Union works for the teachers and for damn sure not your kids.
Logically Right

Our education system has become more an indoctrination medium than a venue for learning.
Look at the universities, for example.
https://www.creators.com/read/walter-williams/07/20/despicable-behavior-of-todays-academiciansAs long as our public school and "higher education" systems are permitted to continue along the route they've been taking, they will continue to produce the same essentially uneducated, left wing human product until a time arrives wherein there is no one left to know the difference -- which, if all else fails, is likely the long term goal of the far left.
The aganda is to keep dumbing down our children. All the trade classes that were taught are gone.Instead of being a brick layer, carpenter, roofer, electrical they now can flip burgers. They cut these out to save money.Where is that saved money being spent?

We have dumbed down high school, to where a student must take college courses to make the honor role. We have dumbed down college, to where most students must take basic/remedial courses in math and English................making what was once a Bachelors (4 yrs ) degree the equivalent to an old associates degree................................requiring students to get a masters for entry level jobs.

I agree, Dems & GOP Leaders have done a terrible job with Our Educational Systems...
There are 50 States' Educational Systems & a D.C. Educational System... It takes the voters in every State & D.C. to elect Local and State Officials who are willing to getting back to "Reading, Writing, and 'Rithmetic" first and foremost, and to Educate Our children to read, write, do math, and learn Our Local, State, and Country's Foundations...

Our education system has tanked, thanks to the NEA.
