Slavery was rampant was in British North America, which included Canada. The slaves were mainly brought from Africa but also included Canada’s indigenous peoples. Slaves were owned by people from all classes in Canadian society including officials from the government and the military, traders, priests, and merchants. I'd like to say that is good history trivia, but for some, so what? Flags have come and gone for millennia. Yes, it was the flag of the CSA, although, never recognized as a sovereign nation. The CSA, in turn, became an undisputed part of the USA, therefore, the flag of the former CSA is no longer applicable to that territory and should be replaced by the USA flag in all cases.

They don’t want history because history serves as a challenge to their false narrative. People can point out an incident in history that tells a real story that allows one to delve into the details and explain the hearts and minds, objectives, sensitivities, soul searching, religious principals, and more that played into the historical event. The liberals don’t want that story told. They want that event to ignore the true explanation because they want the event to be explained as absolute hatred against a class of people involved in the historical event. The false end narrative is all that matters not the many details that determined the outcome.
The left believes the confederate flag has to be destroyed because there are aspects of its creation that they want to dismiss. They want to label it not as a symbol of southern pride but a symbol of hatred towards the blacks.
In their quest for the elimination of the confederate flag, people should just learn not to say no but rather to say HELL NO! Very Sad!
