"...A Minneapolis neighborhood, which lies in controversial Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, will begin broadcasting the Muslim call to prayer five times a day over outdoor loudspeakers throughout the month of Ramadan, reports say. The move is “believed to be the first publicly-broadcast call to prayer in a major US city,” al JazeeraEnglish said in a post on Twitter..."

If it was true Americans will have something to say about this double standard by the the authorities of all levels. Christians got fined sitting in the car in the parking lot listening to the gospel and allow the Muslims broadcasting their prayer in the US city! This must be stopped! Muslims should not have more rights than Americans. This is America! Not the Middle East!

I don't believe there is a provision for "separation of church and state".
I believe it gets warped from the provision that government will not dictate which religion to be practiced.

People have implied a separation of church and state because the first amendment says the government cannot establish a religion nor prohibit the practice of religion. Also, many on the left take that to mean instead of freedom of religion, it means freedom from religion. That's a big difference.

wow! you right wingers are truly scared silly about any other people then you having religious freedom..

relax a little, ramadan and the C-19 will both by over soon and then the speakers will be shut down.. by whichever comes first.. end of ramadan or end of virus..

As for mister Oak,, your lack of knowledge about muslims and when they came into this country is painful..

for starters most Muslims came into Minneapolis during the Bush administration and the total numbers are only a fraction of what you fear..

I recommend you let others practice the religion of their choice the same as we christians practice our choice..

And again the speakers are because of the virus and social distancing, combined with ramadan.. will end soon..

I didn't speak about Muslims. I was commenting that any country that does not adhere to one common language will fail. America in the past was a nation that immigrants came to and assimilated into the culture but that no longer seems to be the case. We are giving up the very ideas that made America great one small step at a time.

Excuse me. Are Christian church bells prohibited from chiming? That would be the equivalent — not some BS about not being allowed to sit in parking lots.

Church bells don't ring five times a day and don't last that long.
That call to prayer would annoy the heck out of me, not to mention, they press their head down to the god they serve and point their rear up to the God I serve.
If they happen to be on your sidewalk when that call the prayer comes, that's where they'll stop and do their thing.

Amen to that.

It's too bad that these so-called"progressives" have "progressed" so far out of their minds that they can't understand that.

Agreed. It is a political movement and system to control both adherents and everyone else.
