They’re coming for the First Amendment: The target is Fox News and its coronavirus coverage

On April 2, an obscure Washington state group, WASHLITE, filed a lawsuit in the Superior Court of Washington against Fox News and several additional media defendants. Among other demands was, “keep the cable network from airing false information about the [coronavirus] pandemic.” https://tinyurl.com/yd72mzbk

In short, Fox is being sued because two of their news people (Hannity and Regan) called the coronavirus pandemic a hoax. So, if you make a stupid statement, according to WASHLITE you need to be shut down. OOPS! Sorry, but the 1st Amendments protects the right to free speech. It doesn't protect stupidity - or genius.

Seems to me that the lawyers who filed this suit on behalf of their clients are real stupid. Ain't this a basic 101 college course? Shouldn't they be counseling their clients that this is a frivolous lawsuit?

They are spreading lies and misinformation that will cost people their lives, and they are using our public airways to do so. It is little different than going on the air and telling people that mixing drain cleaner 50/50 with orange juice will cure arthritis. Thinking people recognize it as a dangerous lie, but a number will believe it and make themselves and loved ones sick or dead.

I see, so you are for lying and no accountability, yep you're a Trumper, that's their MO and the era we're in.
If that's the case they should call themselves Fox Entertainment and Comedy Show and not Fox News.

Every "news" service that parroted the Chinese lie, that the virus was not transmittable between humans,

should be added to that lawsuit, with the WHO and the CDC at the top of the list!

WASHLITE should seek to impose a judicial gag order on President Trump. Many of his statements at his nightly Trump Show briefings are both false and outrageous and a danger to public health.
