Actually DM I was an avid reader but it got in the way. Once I started reading a book or story, I wouldn't stop. I'd lose sleep, fret during work because I wanted to get back to the book. I've read the entire Encyclopedia Britannia 10 years apart twice. I also liked to read Poe and Hemmingway and other stories of the like.

I rather like to read nature now. Go into the woods and test my skills against Ma Nature while realizing I must be very careful not to piss her off or not pay attention to what she is telling me.

I grew up in a world where you worked for what you had coming to you. I've delivered papers twice a day when I was eleven, began earning money when I was eight cutting lawns ( had to pay my Dad for use of his lawn mower and put gas in it and cut his his lawn too), at eight I was working at a boat rental for tips carrying gear and motors, some weighing more than me, to and from.

I've raced ocean going sailboats in blue water. I was in the Merchant Marine (Medically wasn't qualified to join the happy lads in the wonderland known as "The Nam".) hauling multi tons of ammunition and food over to the happy lads.

Yeah, maybe I think this Country, screw the world we can and are controlling that, has gone to HELL in a HANDBASKET. I don't worry for my wife or myself nor my Daughter or my son in law, heck, they are both hell on wheels as far a being independent and self reliant but my concern is for my Grandkids and those of others who are to come. I just re watched it it was just a big synchronized dance routine with singing and fireworks. Would you have preferred the women wore burkas? The costumes were no more skimpy than you see at the beach, or a Walmart in the south for that matter.
