One Office At A Time

More than once, Candidates running for the Presidency have run for Reelection of their House or Senate Seat as well... And I wouldn't be surprised if House Members have run for both the House and Senate at the same time...

To me, this is like "hedging their beats", "getting 2 bites of the apple", doubling their chances of remaining in D.C....

And I understand an Amendment like this is fool-hearty...

I therefore recommend that we should not vote at all for anyone who does this... And we should write our DNC and RNC to make this a rule their Candidates cannot run for more than one Federal Elected Office at a time...

I know this is almost as fool-hearty, but the way the Political Parties have amended their rules over the past decade or 5, at least it has a "snowball's chance in hell"...

Agree with you completely I feel they should resign from their job be it governor, or member of congress .

I also think they should quit the job they have to run for any office. As an employee, I could not take off and run for office and if I did not make it, go back to my job.

Agree 100% ... this should not be allowed ... but also agree the political parties make up their own rules and don't want us .. the voters .. interfering with the way they think elections should be run.

All the DC pols should listen to G Washington who was President for two terms and then went back to his farm. He was smart, honest, and great enough to know that politics should never become a permanent job but only one that should be done for a short time and then it will be time for another citizen to take over and lead for a short period of time. Probably because he was thinking of the country and not himself is why the pols the present era must tear down his legacy. Term limits do not work either as we can see in CA where they just swap jobs with each other as their own term limits end.
