Transgendered individuals are not common. I have met a few people in my life, not many, who were not clearly male or female. Sometimes people, through no fault of their own, are dealt low "genetic cards".

The bible clearly indicates that is immoral to place a stumbling block in front of the blind. It is our task as moral human beings to not afflict the already afflicted.

I think President Obama is following in that tradition in considering the needs of transgendered individuals. Let's face facts. What if you were born with biological gender "issues"? Would you want others to make your life harder than it already is???

6. Have you ever had a Gay encounter in your life, though straight, that has persuaded you approval of them?

Show me where, in either the old or new testaments, that there is any mention of transgendered individuals.

I cannot speak in depth for the new testament but as a Jew, I can tell you the subject was never discussed in religious school. Believe me, if it had, there would have been lots of snickers from the "boy humor" section of the classrooms. There wasn't.

I'm very sure that in the same manner that God said he "did not fathom, nor it come into his mind" that the Jews would sacrifice their children (first born males also) to the idol gods, then feast on their dead bodies, he most assuredly didn't expect to see his Jewish, or Gentile men dressing and primping themselves as Women.

Just last year I spent some time working in a facility where it's activity director was a male, who surgically became female. Unless you have seen something like this close up, you might want to hold your feelings on it, until then.
I knew that person many years before, a guy named Mike. Very attractive man in remembering. Now he is a 6'2", surgically cut up female, with red hair that used to be blonde, plus a wiglet to make the hair fuller. Walks like a quarterback, and complains about not having a husband, or boyfriend. Occasionally his voice drops down to it's original male depth.
Not once could I look him straight in the eye, his makeup and all. All I could do was look from a distance in curiosity.
I don't understand it.

I would hear others around him talking about how beautiful he was, such beautiful clothes, even though he had confided in them his surgical remake.
Then, having walked away from him, they would talk just the opposite of him.
Now, that there is a sin of the people, besides his sin. If they don't approve, they need to say so, not lie to assist him in his fantasy of being a beautiful woman.

All of us, daily, are faced with things we don't "get". How many times have you ever been to the mall and wondered to yourself, "what does he see in her......or vice versa".

There are people in other countries who eat bizarre foods none of us would touch.

Daily, I see adult men and women of all ages with tattoos and piercings.

Would I do that to my body? No.

If I were single would I date someone who did that? Probably not.

Should I be tolerant of my 30 year old daughter who has done both of those things?

The answer is yes because it is not my place to tell a 30 year old woman what she can or cannot do with her body.

Same goes for everybody else.

You know bahmer, it isn't just a discussion matter, it is "Reality" that Obama has lifted America's skirt way over her head, and has degraded, demoralized, and preverted anything that is Good.
He has blurred our Laws as well.
