I signed an online petition to free Sgt. Tahmooressi a couple of weeks ago which was sent to the White House and ended up with over 100,000 signatures.

[quote=Loki]Actually, it is not me who needs the favor. It is Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi, USMC, who has been held as a political prisoner for more than 2 months in a Mexican Jail while the Obama Administration and the US Congress dither and engage in their business as usual circle jerk.
Copy this link, and forward it to your Congressman, Your Senator. Obama, for all the good it will do. Forward it to your friends and ask them to do the same. This has gone on for too long.
Several days ago, I created a forum on the topic of Mexican soldier incursion across our border. It received a massive 33 views and zero comments.
The simple answer is arrest about five of their soldiers, put them in jail and wait for Mexico to howl. We could do a prisoner exchange. In this instance, it would actually be equatable.

Too bad we can't arrest Obama and put him in jail for his dereliction of duty in this case. And I'd be happy to exchange him for the marine.

It wouldn't be an equal trade for the Mexican Government.
By the way Loki, I did.

All set, and anytime.
This is a damn shame. Obama likes to say that he has a pen and a phone, all he needs here is the phone. The difference here is that Sgt. Tahmooressi is not a deserter or enemy sympathizer. He is a patriot, which means obama fails to recognize him, or he does, as an enemy.
What happened to the bikers who were riding to get him out. It was all over the lame stream media for a day or so but very quiet now.

Why does the media portray Andrew Tahmooressi as if he is an active duty Marine? He is a former Marine (notwithstanding the USMC's own "Once a Marine, always a Marine" creed). He was discharged from the Marine Corps about 2 years ago. That makes a bit of a difference, in my mind, about how the U.S. responds to his situation. Should he get treatment by our government - or Mexico's - that is above and beyond that given to any other veteran who runs afoul of a country's laws? My heart goes out to him and all others who get incarcerated in Mexican jails. I understand they can be brutal. What makes him so special? :?: :?: :?:

He is STILL an active duty Marine. Better do a little research.

Really!!!????
That last question coming from a U.S. citizen and a retired military man. The two adjectives I used to describe you is what makes you both special. Bring our boy home.....enough said.

The Port of Entry he accidentally entered is an easy one to get turned around in. I have not been to that one personally, but I have been in similar. It's a clusterfuck. Why on Earth would he deliberately enter with 3 weapons? His claim of accident is very plausible, given the screwed up traffic plan.
He is special because of the incidents in the link I provided. More than 300 times, Mexicans enter this country both deliberately and accidentally with illegal weapons and they are turned loose and sent home within hours. There is a tsunami of illegals inundating our border with the complicity of the Mexican Government. This is political bullshit, and Tahmooressi is paying for it. Had he been a BATFE agent with a load of cartel guns, the Mexicans would have bought his lunch. This incident drives home the dichotomy of how we treat Mexican illegals who deliberately flaut our laws, and how they treat a US citizen who accidentally breaks theirs.

Also with the apparent complicity of the American Government.
I have been to this port of entry, many times, and even I did err once in going when I didn't wish to.
