I can remember when I got married
I can remember where I got married
I just cain't remember why I got married
the four rings of marriage
engagement,wedding,suffe-ring
and endu-ring
what is a marriage hunt?
where the hunted has to pay for the license
I never knew what happiness was til I got married
then it was too late
They say that marriages are made in heaven
but then,so are thunder and lightning
What's the cure for marriage?
alcohol
What's the difference in marriage and death?
Dead guys are finally free
Getting married, the guy loses his Bacheors Degree
while the lady gets her Masters
In Hollywood marriage is successful if it
outlasts milk
THe process of marriage
finding out what kind of man your wife would have preferred
Love is blind
Marriage is an eye opener
At first marriage is a perfect fit
but then you need alterations
To keep your marriage happy
if you are wrong admit it
if you are right-shut up
In the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens
In the second year the woman speaks and the man listens
then after that, they both speak and the neighbors listen
What is faster at transferring funds than electronic banking?
getting married
There is lot's to be said about marriage
but not in front of the children
Make love,not war
or do both, get marriedI married Miss Right
I just didn't know her first name was always

While a lover dreams of paradise his focus of attention is lapsed while time marches on with no end in sight as inner walls (eyelids) block an invoice.
A few random thoughts on becoming a widower:
My wife passed away in July. We had been estranged for a while, but I still shed quite a few tears. I really miss being able to ask her a question.
I can't believe the amount of clothes and shoes she left behind. Half my shoes are White New Balance in varying degrees of disrepair. My wingtips are like new.
I'll bet there are 1000 writing instruments and another 1000 pieces of new stationary in the house.
There is enough Christmas wrapping paper in the house to last until the 22nd century.
She said she wouldn't get another dog when this one dies. She won't.
Die before your spouse.
She was a liberal. I'm not. She wouldn't talk politics because she never had an answer.
I feel like she never threw anything away.
What is the purpose of those concrete sun faces in the flower garden.
I did 95% of the cooking. I have 3 cookbooks. I'm thinking she had about 30.
I have to move it all-see die before your spouse.
She bought all the exercise equipment except the barbells. The only exercise equipment that gets used is the barbells. She had a Tony Little Gazelle and a Chuck Norris Total Gym.
Some days are much harder than others.
Make sure the bills get paid.
The kids have to grow up sometime. She didn't want them to.
She was a school counselor. I feel like the world will be a little less without her, even though I philosophically disagree with the existence of said position.
I thought I was going to die with that woman. The rest of my life will be much different than I was anticipating.
Both of our mothers are in their 90's and still alive.
I miss her.

Married 54 years, five children, buried one, one of us now has incurable disease and the other is in the early stages of dementia. We take care of one another and we love each other and we like each other. We still have a lot in common. Our children come to visit very often because they enjoy being with us. I know you were being amusing, but I just couldn’t laugh at the wrongness of it. I guess this world has made me too
serious.

I can’t even imagine what you’re feeling but my heart goes out to you. You can make the rest of your life what she’d have wanted. Live for both of you.

I know what it's like to lose a spouse. I cannot imagine one of my children pre-deceasing me. My deepest sympathy.

My deepest sympathy's there Matthew I lost my wife in 2009 and life hasn't been the same since. She and I were in love and cancer took her from me and life has been hell ever since. Hang in there hopefully it will get better.

Bahmer, you have my sympathy, and you’ve earned my respect. Your wife would want you to be happy, well, maybe happy is not the proper word, but settled in your life.

Thank you Carol for those kind words.

Thanks bahmer. I'm more worried about you than me. It took her 6 years to pass so I guess I was used to the idea. A month before she died, she told me she was ready to go. We had planned for a comfortable retirement, now I guess I just have to spend it alone. Keep your chin up. Go down to the bar or the church or volunteer for something you feel passionate about. I love woodworking and community theatre. I do hope my millennial children reproduce. Not looking good right now. I try to remember that I am still alive.
