Yes the carrier does carry fighters that could get to the place but we don't know how many surface to air missiles the rebels have taken from government supply houses. Remember those thousands of those things that were left in Iraq in 2011? Prince Barack of HopenChange will have to determine that or lose a number of those planes if they got their hands on many of the missiles.

Have you ever thought that this could be a mess to divert us away from the Iranian problem facing Israel? The aircraft carrier I thought was stationed outside of Iran,watching activities in the Persian gulf... So why not send a second carrier to Iraq and leave the other keeping an eye on Iran? Maybe I'm incorrect but any other information will be gladly received. Thanks.

Who would have done the ordering and would he or they been under the CIC, Prince Barack or who. If the Navy ordered that carrier to a new location I have to think that the CIC was involved , somehow.

The George H. W. Bush could get to the new location much sooner than one from the Atlantic or anywhere else. Yes. they will send another one to a place where it can watch Iran, if that is necessary. Also, the Iranians are sending troops to iraq to fight the ISIS people. We have to be ready to call them out for that but they will be helping more than we will.

We have never had to worry about them shooting down our planes till they took over all the weapons we left for the Iraqis. I have to say that we may need boots on the ground in order to get our planes over them.
