Kerry says Americans shouldn't worry

Secretary of State John Kerry defends the release of alleged deserter Bowe Bergdahl. He said it would have been offensive and incomprehensible to consciously leave an American behind. He went on to say that the five Taliban leaders would face dire consequences should they attempt to threaten American lives.

Actually, would we have been leaving an American behind, or merely leaving a radical Muslim that was born in the U.S. behind? Would that not describe Bowe Bergdahl to a "T?"

And to get to Kerry's blowhard statement that the five Taliban leaders would "face dire consequences if they should attempt to threaten American lives," is a laugh. A great big horse laugh because it has been two years since the Benghazi attack and there has been nobody brought to justice for those 4 Americans' lives. And there never will be!

I'm not sure that we will ever get the truth about ol' Bowe. But I am absolutely certain that you are completely correct in your assessment of Kerry's remarks. What about all the guys left in N. Korea and Vietnam? All the ones who escaped to Russia during WWII and have never been seen or heard from again? All of a sudden we are absolutely dedicated to retrieving every American in a war zone - what about our man in Mexico? The U.S. Govt. can be extremely selective it seems. "We do the right thing when it's a benefit to our political aims. Otherwise? Not so much."

dennisimoto-you are probably correct. They will classify the truth and feed us the left overs. As for Kerry his assessment is on a par with that of Jane Fonda. It would be ironic if the next one kidnapped by the Taliban were none other than John Kerry. Believe he might sing a different tune if that were to happen. Those five are probably at the Taliban office in Qatar as we speak planning a surprise for America. They cannot leave Qatar but they can direct activities from Qatar. This administration is of the opinion that all Americans are as stupid as the democrat low/no information voter and can be fooled time and again without recognizing they have been had. Of all the democrat senators in congress only one has outwardly voiced dissatisfaction with the Gitmo detainee swap. That tells us that all of the others support the Obama action or they do not have the guts to speak out against it. What a sad group of brain dead leeches. Good Luck America !!!

We cannot believe a word that comes out of Kerry's mouth or Obamas. Kerry is a coward and a deserter when he ran and left his men behind. When he ran for president he would say completely opposite statements many times in the same day to different groups. He is a liar and a nutjob.

Actually, that would have been Ronald Reagan, who hosted the Taliban at the White House in 1985. He said they were the equivalent of the founding fathers.

Google: Reagan, Taliban, White House picture.

BTW, the drinks Reagan served them would have been tea. He would not have wanted to offend them by serving them alcohol---being that they are Muslims.

Plenty of Muslims drink alcohol and even enjoy female prostitutes and male prostitutes like Obama.

Rufus-Biden is not the sharpest VP we have ever had but I would trust him more than I do either Obama or Kerry. Biden is basically harmless while the other two are loose cannons. Good Luck America !!!

Brian-even you will have to concede that the Taliban of 1985 have evolved into something entirely different than they were at that time. Pres. Reagan may have equated the Taliban to the founding fathers in that they were both primitive in developing their respective unknown wildernesses. The USA has progressed while most of the Middle East is still primitive. No sane president would entertain known terrorists in the White House. Good Luck America !!!

Rufus-maybe Kerry should have married Jane Fonda . Can you think of a more suitable pair ? Good Luck America !!!

Those are the key words......no sane president...Who said anything about Ronald Reagan being sane??? Reagan probably thought those Muslim guys, with the headgear, were just extras sent over by central casting.

Was Reagan just dumber than a tree stump or was it Alzheimer's? I will leave that for others to judge.

The Taliban were not terrorist. They were our allies backed by the CIA in driving the Soviet union and the communist regime out of Afghanistan. They then fought a civil war with the northern Alliance and won , controlling 90 % of Afghanistan They warned the US that Bin laden was planning an attack on the US but the state department dismissed the information. The initial response to 9-11 was to attack the Taliban In response to US demands to turn Bin laden over, the Taliban government offered to hand him over to a third country. The US declined the offer saying it was inadequate. With in a month we began bombing Taliban forces on behalf of the Northern alliance, enemies of the Taliban. With our aid the Alliance won a quick victory. The men just released were officials of the Taliban government and
