If a program such as Social Security and Medicare require us to pay into them, but they also provide for those who, for various reasons, do not have enough to get by - that makes them a 'socialist' program.
Venezuela is cool in many aspects. It is a beautiful country, with scenery that is hard to beat. I don't agree with many of their political standings, but since I don't live there it doesn't really affect me.
