Many years ago I spoke at a meeting of local investors. One topic aebout which I spoke was making money in the library, public county records and state highway projeects. The information came from a commercial real estate course I developed and taught.

Highway projects include maps showing two or three maps of the projected routes in the highway headquarters. They do this so that people do not know which route will be used.
I showed them how to not only know which route will be used, but where exits will be.

If had propery you wanted to sell or rent for gas station, converience store, fast food, motels or retail businessou can go to the Standard and Poors corportion register.
It lists various businesses in certain categories. It tells what corporations the own, income and several other topics. Best of all it contains cororate addresses and contacts.
PRIME HINT: aif you ewant to sell or lease rel estate to them NEVER send anything to the real este represenative named or real estate department. ALWAYS mail your information address to the president with the following PERSONAL AND PRIVATE wtitten on the envelope. The real estate people are onSet salary. The receive tons o "wantabees" mail every week. The president or owners want to expand so they forward your information to the real estate department and they want to placate their boss and it will go to top o their work list. I know because I have been a real estate representative for McDonalds and real estate director for two of Consolidated Foods (Now Sara Lee) corporations.
