And you can always just walk away...or just say in your mind "I don't agree with this person, and there's nothing more to be said to them". Respect goes a long way - if you don't respect those that disagree with you, then what's left? Not much.

Very true. Thank you. Needed that. Even if I rarely give in to insults but out of frustration act in kind, it is wrong. Ten years here basically under assault the whole time. Trolls taking over most of my threads, rendering them useless. Sometimes it gets too much. No excuse. I think if you followed the vast majority of my responses to the abuse I get, I am respectful.

I do agree with you...for sure. And I have also been guilty of letting my anger get the better of me - and then I feel like a jerk later. So when someone posts something that "gets my goat", I try to step away from it and ask myself "is this really worth getting all worked up about?"...and usually decide it's not. I don't know how many times I've posted a reply to something, only to delete it and say "this is silly".
