When Trump started his trade war and levying Tariffs on the whole world it increased the trade imbalance from $640 billion to $855 billion. But yet his supporters love him I guess this is another way of making America Great again. (NO ITS MAKE AMERICA PAY MORE) The disturbing part is this Trump convinced his base that the tariffs are hurting China and China is paying billions of dollars in tariffs, but what his base does not understand is tariffs are a tax on American tax payers because we pay more for imported goods. It is estimated that American tax payers are beginning to feel the effects to the cost of at least $1,000 a year.

So costs of goods go up wages are stagnant and inflation rises due to a Trump inflicted problem.

But let’s get to the socialism issue. The farmers are the most effected by the Trump tariffs. When the self inflected problem kicked in and farmers began to feel the impact Trump started a program to subsidize the farmers that are in trouble. So he found $12 billion to subsidize these farmers for a crisis that Trump created. But that’s kind of strange only 39% of the farmers received subsidies with most of that cash going to commercial farmers and not the small farmers that are really feeling the impact. Now this $12 billion is on top of the $24 billion the republicans gave these same commercial farmers.

So as far as socialism: Trump created this problem, (TARIFFS) (TAX ON AMERICAN PEOPLE) ( INFLATION RISING) (TRADE IMBALANCE INCREASING) and the way Trump fixes his self inflicted problem is to create a subsidy that is socialism. That’s kind of strange when the Trump base screams that democrats are socialist.

You people want to give the U.S. to anyone who shows up.

Helping our farmers is self preservation.

We have subsidized farmers for many years.

You hate the U.S. and are happy with every other nation taking advantage of us.

The difference between you people and We the People is we have backbone and support the President's goal of not allowing socialist countries like China to hose us.

Apparently you are fine with being hosed in unfair trade, But we the People are not.

I fully agree. Trump is merely leveling the playing field which previous administrations allowed to become so unfair to America over many decades.

You write as if our trade imbalance were static before Trump began fighting back in the trade war. It was increasingly at an incredible rate. I have not the time or energy to try to calculate what the trade imbalance would be if the policies remained the same as under Obama.

Now while you are crying tears for the farmers (which is a new one for the left), the majority of farmers are still behind Trump even before he offered the farm subsidies. And show documentation that the subsidies are not for small farms.

And yes the tariffs are hurting China more than us. As for cheap goods, Walmart prices haven't risen that much. As for metals, they were cheap metals which were not good enough for making ships or bridges. Now that we are ramping up making our own steel and aluminum which is high quality, the purchasing of poor quality steel and aluminum from China is no longer a necessity. Sure it costs more. But good quality usually does cost more regardless of tariffs.

Please refrain from posting until you learn economics 101. It's people like you that want to pay for Chinese crap at a low rate. If Barry would've been smart enough to do this you libs would be once again saying, "he's the smartest boofer in the room". The old ways of getting screwed by every country is over. You libs have 4+ years left of seeing how to run a country. You'll learn to love it.

Barry had no idea about whether our trading contracts with China were god or not. He was waay over his head in negotiating trading contracts! Or any other contracts for that matter including the Paris Climate Accords or the Iranian nuclear freeze contract.
As a shit disturber, aka community organizer, his only area of expertise was in fomenting resentments in the minority community. And then shaking down legitimate enterprises to 'atone' for their non existent discrimination.
Thank God we have, in Trump, a man who is well versed in reading and comprehending, complicated contracts, and negotiating for favorable positions.

We've had corporate socialism for years and years. There was not a single fortune 500 company that paid the old tax rate in full, but we decided they were being taxed too heavily. We should have been looking at the EFFECTIVE tax rate, which was at or near zero.

Not exactly true about all fortune 500 companies but this is how they do it.

We can't say with certainty that Obama didn't make a international trade deal.

Obama most probably got a little cream off the top of Hezbollah smuggling over one Billion dollars worth of cocaine across our southern border.

After all, Obama gave iIntelligence Officials and the DOJ "stand down orders" knowing terrorists were traversing our borders.

Is there any form or system of government where the poor control the money?
