This might come as something of a shock, so better to sit down before reading further. The social media platforms that seem to be doing the political hiring and firing across the world for the moment are not restrained by our constitution and have no obligation to allow or disallow anything, at any time, for any reason, or no reason at all. They are privately held businesses that are only answerable to their shareholders and even then, only to the extent that their share prices may or may not alter their market fortunes. Unless their shareholders start holding their feet to the fire, they are highly unlikely to change their ways, regardless of the noises they hear from the politicians in Washington.
So cry foul, scream how unfair it all is, but understand, it is most definitely not illegal, not even after elections are most certainly 'influenced', so get used to it or do something about it.
Um, well, actually... br br This might come as so... (

Nope, something needs to be done.
It is an abuse of the 1st Amendment Rights. I hope that if GOP takes Congress in 2020, they could legislate a bill the could eliminate abuses shielded by the 1st Amendment rights.
Assaulting and plotting to kill a political opponent is NOT 1st Amendment right. Fabricating lies and verbally accusing the political opponent of lies are not 1st Amendment Rights. Prohibiting someone to express his 1st Amendment rights is not 1st Amendment right.
Those abuses must be looked into and eliminate the injustices and wrongs rendered by Facebook, Twitter, and Google. They must be held accountable, prevent manipulative abuses.
