So this firm will be a domestic competitor of Alcoa? How many Americans will it employ and at what kind of wages and other compensation? Will its owner and upper management pay full U.S. income tax? How will it affect U.S. aluminum prices? Will it reincorporate in the United States? Does it intend to go public?

Those facts are of more concern to me than any sinister connotations, since it sounds like it just might be beneficial in terms of jobs added to the local economy, taxes paid into the local and U.S. Treasuries and various other benefits a large operation might bring with it.

After all, U.S. firms do the same things in other countries and foreign firms do the same in ours.

Or is there something I'm missing here?
