White House officials barred a State Department intelligence agency from submitting written testimony to the House Intelligence Committee warning that human-caused climate change could be “possibly catastrophic.” The move came after State officials refused to excise the document’s references to federal scientific findings on climate change.

The effort to edit, and ultimately suppress, the prepared testimony by the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research comes as the Trump administration is debating how best to challenge the fact that burning fossil fuels is warming the planet and could pose serious risks unless the world makes deep cuts in greenhouse gas emissions over the next decade. Senior military and intelligence officials have continued to warn climate change could undermine America’s national security — a position President Trump rejects.

It doesn't really help to have a president who doesn't want to listen to testimonies from the "intelligence" committee.

At this point, the extent to which the activity of humans affects climate change is irrelevant, making the argument over it ridiculous. When one's house is on fire, one discusses what caused the fire...................AFTER the fire is out.

The only relevant question now is - what can humans do to ameliorate the effects of climate change, or at least, slow it down.

While we're still arguing about who or what caused climate change......................our planet is burning down with us on it.

True, I believe the topic is about what we need to do, the cause is known but rather than do what is needed, what has to be done, Trump and his administration is adding fuel to the fire with his deregulation's. He recently deregulated automobiles a major contributor.

I think it's time we forget the white house and appeal directly to manufactures, who can actually comprehend and see down the road to consequences.

Interesting we have no comments from the right. Looks like Trump doesn't want to hear any legitimate reports. How is it these guys can't see up the road but only whats the cold green cash in the palm of their hands.

You have to assess and figure out exactly what is happening and what caused it before steps can be taken.

I am a problem solver, meaning when my business has a problem I dig hard into what is going on, which more often than not has a who is doing what. Defensiveness keeps crucial information hidden which really pisses me off. I tell people I don't give a damn who did something that is costing me money, I want to find out what is happening so I can create a process in the system that makes it harder or impossible to make those mistakes.

The who of this problem has no interest in the truth

Like Florida's governor literally making it law not to use the words climate change or global warming. Considering they are having a problem with rising seas it must make it hard to talk about the problem huh?

I've heard of this, it's outrageous and how can he do it by our laws, we have freedom of speech as our constitutional right which it would infringe upon?

Just as Trump has blocked new research on the environment from being blocked to the public, how is he able to do this if they are government paid offices by our taxes? Moves of a dictator.
