Genesis chapter 20

Verse 1

Because of the destroyed cities, Abraham goes and lives among the Philistines. Abimelech was one of their better kings.

Verse 2 and 3

Families are important to God. Same sex marriage is wrong and should be stopped. Men shouldn’t have sex with men, and women shouldn’t have sex with women. Neither should they marry. We have cheapened institutions that have been the backbone of society for thousands of years, to please a few perverts.

Verse 4 - 8

God protected Abraham. He still respects honesty and integrity. Sarah was Abraham’s half sister. Love has no boundaries. You can’t make your heart feel something it won’t. You can’t stop your heart from feeling something it dies.

Verse 9 - 13

Abimelech asks Abraham why he lied. Abraham says he knows the Philistines don’t fear God and Sarah is his half sister. Abraham and Sarah had gotten younger so they could have a child. Abraham’s wealth may have been destroyed with Sodom and Gomorrah.

Verse 14 - 16

The wealth of Abraham has been restored. God is and always has been in control.

Verse 17 and 18

We all have this illusion of control. We are just here for the ride. We are orbiting the sub traveling 18.5 miles a second. This is almost 25 times faster than a bullet fired from a high powered rifle.
