Genesis chapter 17

Foreword

;In this chapter, Abram becomes Abraham, Sarai becomes Sarah, and circumcision are started to symbolize the covenant between Abraham and God.

Vese 1

Notice God doesn’t ask for praise, but obedience. Not obeying is why we expect God to heal us, while children are murdered and we elect unqualified socialist to govern us.

Verse 2 - 8

Abraham means father of many nations. It was always God’s intentions that fathers teach their children. The covenant between God and Abraham is eternal. We should go back to being a patriarchal society. We all get two families, the one we were born into and the one we marry into. It takes a man to raise a man to be a man. A woman can’t do it. She has never been a man, will never be a man, and really doesn’t understand what men go through.

Verse 9

America is a better place to live now that we are led by a man that follows God. Women have no vision. Actions have consequences. Strangers should not have sex.

Verse 10 - 14

This is where circumcision began. The commandments would not be written for 400 years. Read the fourth chapter of Romans. It takes eight days for an infant’s blood to start clotting. No one openly displayed their circumcision scar. Circumcision is of the heart. A Christian’s life is not proclaimed but perceived. Our religion should speak for us, instead of us speaking for it.

Verse 15 and 16

Sarah means princess. The child of Sarah would receive special blessings from God.

Verse 17 and 18

Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90. Neither one knew what God would do to and through them.

Verse 19 - 22

All of Abraham’s children will be blessed. But a special blessing would be on Isaac and his children.
Verse 23 - 27

Only males were circumcised. Female circumcision is barbaric, unscriptural, and should be stopped. Abraham’s faith was demonstrated by his obedience.

In what manner was Abraham obeying the Creator?.....if there weren't any laws or rules, how was he obeying?

Are you saying that it was only being circumcised?

When God told Abram to leave his kin and move, he obeyed. When God told Abraham to sacrifice his son, he obeyed. His faith was counted for righteousness.

So you believe that the Creator didn't inform his friend Abraham of his sanctified Sabbath.
