McConnell's Other Statement On Supreme Court

When asked if a supreme court justice dies the last year of Trump's what will he do, he said I'll fill the seat.

I'm thinking there would be a "little" precedent he set concerning the need to leave it up to the people to decide with the next election.

That statement is proof McConnell needs to be removed from office, that he has no regard for the constitution, the rule of law, and accepted norms. He makes his own rules up to suit his party.

How would what he said violate the constitution or the rule of law, neither of which mean anything to Democrats?

It's proof that the BS he spewed about why the Garland nomination couldn't be confirmed meant nothing, he was violating the constitution in the interest of partisan power. Now he is obstructing 100 bills sent over from the house on the same unfounded principles that have no standing or sense.

The senate has a process debate a bill, make changes, send it back over to the house, or vote on the bill.

Now he is changing the way confirmations are done, fast tracking and denying the long standing rule that any senator can reject any judge in their own state.

I have no doubt that if the GOP loses control of the senate they will expect dems to go back to all the old rules, and will make passing 2/3rds rules their last act.
