Going nuts about Bush assuming the authority to put water up the nose of 3 known terrorists inorder to gain information about future attacks (not to gain evidence for criminal charges) were clear reactions from the left and the major news organization. Further, Bush attempting to gain information via bugging international calls was also seen as a major stretch of presidential authority.
Obama and the left, and people like Holder, claimed that this was not a war, but that those suspected of responsibility for man made disasters shoud be treated as criminals, with all the rights and protections of the criminal justice system.
Now they feel totally comfortable deciding the guilt of suspects, deciding the punishment to be death, and delivering that punishment to these people and anyone who happens to be near them at the time of execution.
How anyone could see this as anything but hypocritcal about something as important as national defense boggles the imagination.
