I don't get this. The President has said over and over that the Mueller report exonerates him totally. No collusion, no obstruction. There are even tee shirts available with that phrase.

If that were the case, wouldn't the President want Mueller to testify? It doesn't add up that he would not want Mueller to tell his questioners that the President was totally exonerated.

The President's behavior and rhetoric remind me of this:

Saints should always be judged guilty until they are proved innocent. George Orwell

He said he doesnt think that Mueller should testify, its different from saying i forbid Mueller to testify....Besides he is leaving it up to AG,who said he is ok with Mueller to testify...

How could he 'forbid' Mueller from testifying? What would be the authority?

He did not tweet 'I don't think Mueller should testify'. He tweeted Mueller should not testify.

He left it up to AG to decide..And AG said he doesnt mind.......But in one aspect President is right...Democrats are in search of crime...For them he will always be guilty no matter what Mueller will say...

Just a personal opinion and nothing more. The more people who are forced to testify, the greater the opportunity to misquote or take comments out of context. The President is more aware of this than most, as he has been criticized for every action, word, or assumed thoughts for more than 3 years. I can see his position; Mueller and his team took two years to formulate their position, that document should stand as their testimony.

It's a very wise and keen observation.

Easy enough to understand, President Trump has decided that he wants Mueller to testify,

and get it over with. The quickest way to make that happen is to say that he is opposed to it.

I quite agree....

If the report is unclear that would be one thing.. But it seems straightforward enough..

And one shudders to imagine the added spin that will be put on his answers to loaded questions. .

Straightforward? Barr turned it on it's head.

Be honest... did you read the report? Perhaps you may not want to respond to that question. I did read it, every word. It is written at a 6th grade reading level, very simple. Few legal terms and few quotes from law libraries. Only about 12 percent is redacted from section 1 and only 2 percent from Section 2. So, there are few blank spots. I managed to read it twice, to make sure I caught every word. But, you are so much smarter than me, you probably would only read it once. After you have read it, then you may want to show me (page and paragraph) where Barr got it wrong. Even Mueller did not have an issue with the four page summary. He did have an issue with what the media attempted to do.

Can you point out how the report harms Trump?

Mueller was clear, there was no collusion between President Trump and Russia. See page 9 of the report. As for obstruction of justice, Mueller and his team could not make a determination. They sited 11 actions that were questionable, all pivoted around the termination of Comey. It really would be beneficial if you could find time to read the report for yourself and then we can engage in a conversation on each item.

Do you need the link to the report?
