Hosea chapter 11

Verse 1 and 2

Jesus spent His early childhood in Egypt when satan was trying to kill Him. God doesn’t say worship me because I’m God, but worship for what I’ve done for you.
I am the Lord thy God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods.before Me.
Exodus 20:2 and 3
Before Moses could let Israel know God’s law, they had already violated the first commandment.

Verse 3 and 4

A society must follow God’s law. What is God’s law? Don’t steal, Don’t murder. Don’t commit adultery. You have to use your intellect to follow God’s law. Your emotions may say yes, your mind must say no. If the desire to sin gets too strong, pray for God to help.Some sins are crimes.

Verse 5 - 7

Our perception of reality is in the hands of the supernatural. It is not in man that walks to direct his steps. In the old testament, because Israel didn’t follow God’s law, they lost everything they had. Today, we are stupid if we think we are saved in a nation that murders it’s own children and legalizes same sex marriage.

Verse 8

Admah and Zeboim were destroyed with Sodom and Gomorrah. It is hard to stand for God’s word around perverts. We can see the dichotomy in God’s mind. On one hand, He promised Abraham that he would make a great nation from his children. On the other hand, Israel had become as perverted as Sodom and Gomorrah, cities that became so wicked that God destroyed them.

Verse 9

God sets up and puts down nations. He doesn’t care if you eat shrimp or pork.He used Assyria to remove Israel from the map. One day, all the children shall return to the Middle East.

Verse 10 - 12

When Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, started idolatry in Israel, Judah remained faithful to the true God. No king in Israel went back to the true God. They turned back to the true God when America was founded.
