In a letter sent to the presidents of Yale University, Wake Forest University, the University of San Diego, Stanford University, Georgetown University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles, cite a wide range of federal education regulations and laws that investigators are exploring. They note that universities receiving federal student aid must demonstrate “administrative capacity” and have proper procedures and policies to administer federal money.

"The investigations into each of the eight colleges is being led by the department’s Student Aid Enforcement Unit, which has the power to issue subpoenas. The unit, which is meant to police fraud in higher education, was created by the Obama administration in response to abuses at for-profit colleges."

Another day, another Federal scandal.

It's about time that the DOE do something useful. Most college "administrators" just let the students "run" the college while they sit back and collect a huge salary.

Now, if only the same principles could be used to punish officials that operate and condone "sanctuary" cities, states, etc..

This would be Great for the LAW to return to the forefront. Is it not so that Federal LAW overides STATE Law
if what STATE is doing is against FEDERAL LAW?

I tend to agree.

USC Article VI Clause II provides that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties made under its authority constitute the supreme law of the land. It provides that state courts are bound by the supreme law; in case of conflict between federal and state law, the federal law must be applied. Even state constitutions are subordinate to federal law. Here's the relevant text:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

Now ask yourself, who is responsible for enforcing Federal law and what is stopping him from doing his job?
