Jeffrey Friedberg asks: "So. Tell me. What’s this “revolution” bullshit? What you gonna do when they come for you?"

Oh my. He pulls no punches and knows what he's talking about!

"So, you say you want a revolution? Yeah, well, you know, we all wanna change the world. So, tell me—Arm-Chair General, Comments Captain, Halfway Jefe—how does that start?"

Talk about a monumental mind-fuck...

I see no partisanship in this article. Seems to me the author is simply posing some excellent questions to anyone thinking about starting his/her own little revolution. The dangers are real and extensive, all he has done is point out the pitfalls and possibly make any attempt at revolutionary action more likely to succeed, because these dangers are now known. If you think this is aimed at a certain section of political activism, that is probably because you think they're retarded or insane enough to go ahead with such a foolhardy plan.

In other words, we can't fight our government if they turn against us. Scary...

Wow. Where did it say that? As I already explained,, it does a fairly good job of pointing out the dangers and pitfalls of taking up arms against said government, nowhere does it say 'don't'. Why all the negativity? Do you feel threatened by it?

Honestly, sometimes, I do feel threatened by our Federal Government.
Realistically, I don't think the military will ever use their equipment, and arms against us.

The left will do it differently, and we'll end up eating our dogs to survive if they have their way.
Most of them have little dogs, or cats, so I can out last them. I have two big dogs, and a horse!

I had a dinner steak serving of horse meat in Belgium back in the mid 70s. Although I didn't know it was horse until I'd eaten most of it, it wasn't half bad. I understand dog is very stringy but that's not, how shall I say, verified. I ate rattlesnake once - won't do that again. I do like gator tail but frog's legs are nasty. Of all the weird / freaky things I've eaten, I'd put haggis in first place, followed by the rattlesnake, and of the weird / tasty things, gator tail wins hands down.

By the way, you're right. The US soldier will never take up arms against us as people, they're our boys and we raised them right.

I've never knowingly eaten horse, or dog. I ate cat once that I know of, and it was good.
Rattlesnake, and frog legs are outstanding in my opinion.
I also happen to enjoy a plate of fried bovine testicles now and then.

Ew. Anyway, how did you skin it? Like a squirrel?

I've heard of that. They tell me it tastes like tongue. I don't like tongue and have an aversion to eating bulls balls simply because of where they come from. Yuk!

The cat was actually mountain lion that a friend of mine killed. Legally, of course. I only saw pictures of the cat, and his hunting guide did the skinning, and processing. The meat wasn't bad. I liked it better than bear.

As for the calf fries, I've seen cowboys eat them fresh out of the calf, and cooked on the rocks around the branding fire. Not for me, but if they're washed, and properly prepared, I like them.
