"President Donald Trump said on Feb. 15 that the leader of Japan had nominated him for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work to open up a dialogue with the reclusive country [of North Korea]."

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe “gave me the most beautiful copy of a letter that he sent to the people who give out a thing called the Nobel Prize".

According to Prime Minister Abe: "I have nominated you, respectfully, on behalf of Japan. I am asking them to give you the Nobel Peace Prize."

It gets better:

"South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who also has credited Trump with starting negotiations with North Korea, has endorsed him for the Nobel Peace Prize as well."

And what does President Trump think about all this? “I’ll probably never get it, but that’s OK,” Trump said. “They gave it to Obama. He didn’t even know what he got it for.”

According to South Korean President Moon Jae-in: “His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history,” the letter said. “The sanctions have decimated the North Korean economy and have been largely credited for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table.”

The Nobel committee is now run by left wing wackos and that will guide their decision.

Unless they offer a Nobel for being played like a chump by a third tier dictator Trump is out of luck.

Now ain't that the truth. A very left committee will choose no one but another left winger.

You again? Do I have to ban you from my posts? When are you going to learn to sit up and pay attention to something more than your daily talking points briefing from your communist 'liberal' and 'progressive' masters?

N. Korea was going to come to the negotiating table no matter who was President - as soon as the design and testing of their nuclear fleet was complete. What did everyone get from those "negotiations"? Not a damn thing.

How could you possibly know that? And for what purpose? They build their nukes then start negotiating them away? I seriously doubt it. I'd really like to see the source on that one.

They have given it to a terrorist, Al Gore over a woman who saved at least 2500 children from the Nazis and put herself at grave risk, and Obama - who did nothing.

Why not Trump. He fits right in to this now joke of an award.

Au contraire. I happen to think that by awarding their prize to our President, they will go some way to redeeming the laughing stock that their prize has become. Do you not believe that he deserves such recognition?

What are you talking about? They gave Obama a Nobel and he was played like a chump by all of America's adversaries, including third tier dictators.
Are they going to take it away from him?
