“Don’t ask if your loyalty is crazy. Ask if it’s crazy enough.”

I'm sure everyone remembers that Colin Kaepernick ‘woke’ Nike commercial from last fall. The Kaepernick ad’s two catchphrases were ‘Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything.’ And ‘Don’t ask if your dream is crazy, ask if it’s crazy enough’.

Anyone with half a grain of common sense just rolled their eyes and moved along. Nobody claimed that it should not have been made or, (yikes!) banned. No, banning ads because of non-PC content is only acceptable when it's patriotic or comprehensible. Nine Line Apparel’s ad opens with, “Don’t ask if your loyalty is crazy. Ask if it’s crazy enough.”

Here's the Super Bowl ad that was banned for being 'crazy enough':

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=45&v=DQP4jG2u2wE

“For those who kneel, they fail to understand that they can kneel, that they can protest, that they can despise what I stand for, even hate the truth that I speak, but they can only do that because I am crazy enough,”

“Let’s call this what it is: a blatant attempt to censor a message that their politically correct executives find offensive."

Crazy enough yet?

I'm sure everyone remembers that Colin Kaepernick ... (show quote)

I was watching Around the Horn on ESPN yesterday. At the end, the winning journalist gets 30 seconds of face time. She used her face time to honor all slain journalists, including Kashoogie. Took a subtle shot at President Trump, saying "journalists tell the truth." Why can't sports shows be sports shows, and leave the politics out of it. Maybe this is a little off this topic, but reminded me of the show, and that I won't watch it anymore.

You're absolutely spot on. Sports journalists used to focus on sports, that was their function. Political journalists would be always on the lookout for the next big 'scoop', the one that made their reputation and gave them that big payday. Sports journalists (I'm using that term 'journalist' loosely) look on and see the political hacks catching all the goodies and decide to horn in on the action. Who can blame them? The downside is that our 'sports' are now just as politicized as our political news, and they have an agenda - never let you escape into a nice, comfortable game of baseball, football, whatever for a few hours because then you won't be so numb to the politicking.

Its a real shame that we can't even go to the game without being reminded of some social justice warrior's pet peeve. It makes me sick too.
