Larry the Legend Loc: Not hiding in Milton

Does this make sense?

"I think that there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right”.

Am I the only one who can make neither heads or tails of that statement? How can something be factually inaccurate but morally 'right'?

Am I missing something or is this a total oxymoron?

If this sentence is a comparative it makes sense. It is saying more people are concerned with grammar than morality. If it is talking about any given proposition it may or may not make sense. There is not enough context to say which is true.

Is this another of A O"C treasured proverbs?

She's getting sick of people calling her out on her BS and that's her rationale for ignoring the facts and spouting socialist dogma.

It's newspeak.
Common in Orwells 1984 ,and Huxleys Brave New World .

My take is, simply stated; being 'morally right' is not a factor good enough to stand alone in the face of the others. Many of us do what is morally right as opposed to doing whatever you might be able to get away with.
I guess is if you have no moral guidance then being 'correct' otherwise is all that matters.

No, just a total A PC, much much more dangerous than an actual oxymoron.

she never said what her accomplishment was but she did it even if there were biases, etc that served to prevent it. She again was too busy blaming people.
Had she started out by saying she didn't do a damn thing and here are the reasons, then it would have made more sense.
