Talk about perks! in private industry when a plant shuts down no pay for those who lost their jobs. Why do people who produce no work get paid? The concept of pay for no work is the definition of WELFARE. Congress doesn't care about taxpayers; after all, it ant their money they are giving away. Congress is on 3 week vacation. How much vacation are U on? If U ant on welfare, how much are U getting for no work?

What are you talking about? When auto and steel plants shut down employees continue to collect much of their pay in some instances for a couple years. Even the poor bastards working for un unionized poultry plants in the South receive unemployment. Just because the Pumpkinfuhrer and Republican Congress can’t pass a budget dosn’t mean the thousands of federal workers who serve our nation should suffer. Some of the taxpayers should be on the hook, the chumps that were conned into putting Trump in office.
