Love gives

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Mothers care for their babies because they love them. Infants do nothing for their mothers. Fathers should provide for their families because they love them. A love that does nothing is nothing. The parent/child relationship is parasitic, but kids have a nasty habit of growing up. Parents shouldn’t charge their kids for raising them.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Genesis 2:24
We all get two families, the one we are born into and the one we marry into. Your second family should matter more than your first. Your kids need you more than your parents.
