Luke chapter 10

Verse 1

Jesus had already sent His disciples. Twelve wasn’t enough. The apostles and the men appointed came in the spirit of Elijah. Like John the Baptist, they told everyone to clean up their act because the son of God would be coming soon. We are killing our own children and allowing perverts to teach our children lies. Gender is assigned at birth and cannot be changed. Whenever a doctor tried to cut a vagina into a man, the body treated it like a wound and it healed. We need to clean up our act because Jesus will return soon. If we repent all sins will be forgotten.

Verse 2 – 11

Christ is giving marching orders to those He would send. Wolves eat lambs. People will think they can take advantage of a man of God. Matthew 10:8 ends with freely ye have received, freely give. You can’t drive forward focusing all of your attention on the rearview mirror. Never remarry someone you have divorced or date an ex.


Verse 12 – 16

Sodom has already been destroyed for their wickedness. Thus, their sins are paid for. Jesus had a house in Capernaum. Jesus is not going to download scriptures into your mind. Study to show yourself approved.

Verse 17 – 20

It’s no big thing to cast out a devil. If you read Revelation 3:5, it is possible to have your name written in and blotted out of the book of life.

Verse 21 – 24

The sign that you are listening to a man of God is listening and obeying improves your life. The enemy has deceived the whole world. If you read the bible, eventually you will come across a scripture that disagrees with the nonsense taught by false prophets.

Verse 25 – 29

Before one can become a lawyer one has to study. If you want eternal life, keep the law. Jesus didn’t die so that we could steal, murder, and commit adultery. Your development as a Christian starts with obedience to the commandments. A poor reason for asking doesn’t lessen the words spoken by Jesus.

Verse 30 – 32

Jericho is North of Jerusalem, but Jerusalem is at the top of a mountain. The road between Jericho and Jerusalem has been cut out of a mountain and has many twists and turns. A group of thieves could be 20 feet in front of you and you would not see them until it was too late. Priests and Levites were looked up to, but they didn’t help the man.

Verse 33 – 37

Samaritans were a mixture of Assyrians who moved into Israel and the Israelites that chose to stay after the dispersion. They were looked down upon by the Jews. When you need help, any prejudice takes a back seat. Your neighbor is somebody who does something for you when you’ve done nothing for them. It is dangerous to lift scriptures out of context. Here is an example.

Listening to Jesus is more important than serving food.
