Luke chapter 9

Verse 1 & 2

Being one person, the Holy Spirit only resided in Jesus, and was limited to the people He could come in contact with. One doesn't have full understanding for the Holy Spirit to work through you. Jesus gave His disciples the power to heal and cast out devils before Judas betrayed Him, Peter denied Him, or Thomas doubted Him.

Verse 3 – 6

If a church pressures you to pay tithes, that is a sign that God didn’t send them. In Matthew 10:8 Jesus says, freely you have received, freely give. Christians today are useless. They pray for God to do something about the actions others choose to take, while they ignore every sermon Christ preached, parable He taught, and miracle He performed. The left, Islam, and communist/socialist actually do something. Christians today do nothing but pray and sing, while they do nothing. They are useless finger pointers. Grown men under satan’s influence, actually want to use the bathroom with our daughters. This ain’t happening.

Verse 7 – 9

Herod knew nothing about Christ or John, but had a part in the death of Christ. If you think about it, his life had no effect on anybody. But while he lived, he had a good time.

Verse 10 & 11

Apostle means one sent. They were disciples first. You can’t lead anyone to Christ unless you have followed Him. Jesus didn’t give the Great Commission to the Pharisees. Jesus and the apostles actually did things for others and made the world a better place to live.

Verse 12 – 17

This is the only miracle that is in all four gospels, so it must be important. Christ feeds a multitude with a meal meant for a small boy.

Verse 18 – 22

God appeals to intellect, satan to emotion. What people say is always wrong. Peter was looking for Christ before he met Christ, based on Old Testament scriptures like Deuteronomy 18:15. He was the only man besides Jesus to walk on water. He cast out devils and healed in Christ’s name. When he thought about it, the evidence was that Jesus is who He says He is. In Matthew 16:17, Jesus says flesh and blood did not reveal it unto thee, but my father in heaven. Then Jesus tells His disciples the things He will suffer. Peter loves Jesus and wants everyone to love Him. Rebukes Jesus saying this will not happen. Jesus says nothing to Peter, but to who is motivating Peter to speak.

Verse 23 – 27

Christ was crucified. He instructed His disciples to take up they’re cross and follow Him. We vote in officials that legalized, (illegally), abortion and same sex marriage. What good does salvation accomplish? This do nothing Christianity where we make pastors rich, while the morality of this nation gets worse with each passing generation, accomplishes nothing. We are listening to false prophets and following blind guides.

Verse 28 – 36

Peter, James, and John were part of the inner circle of disciples. Verse 27 is being fulfilled. One day, the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord. Moses represents the law, and Elias, (Greek for Elijah), represents the prophets. Those teaching the law don’t understand the law. Teaching that grace frees us from law, so it is okay to steal, murder, and commit adultery, but grace doesn’t free us from tithing. Tithing is not a commandment. The prophets are being ignored, and everything Jesus said. Pauline epistles are being scrutinized like they outweigh the law and the prophets. Some say Jesus is not the son of God. They must think God is mistake. Six times in the New Testament God calls Jesus His son. In John 12:28, Jesus calls God father and God answers audibly.

Verse 37 – 42

This was a strong spirit. The disciples cast out other spirits. But this one was different. In Mark 9:28 Jesus says to cast out this one requires prayer and fasting.
Verse 43 – 45

This is the second time Jesus tells his disciples what will happen. The disciples didn’t know what He was talking about, and were afraid to ask.

Verse 46 – 48

These disciples were not part of the inner circle, and had just failed to cast a devil out of a boy, yet, they want to be esteemed above other disciples. One of satan’s tricks is vanity. Jesus teaches that the least is great. You should help those around you and make the world a better place to live. At least, be a dependable employee and a better husband.

Verse 49 & 50

This event is also in Mark 9:38 – 40. If you can cast out devils, you appear to be on God’s side. If the exorcist were sent by Jesus, the movie would have been a lot shorter. The evil spirit would have left when told.

Verse 51 – 56

This is only here.
For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:17

Verse 57 – 62

Similar verses are in Matthew 8:19 – 22. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. You should esteem Christ above your parents.

Wow!!! Thank you for this expletive! Do you suppose Christ is coming back soon? Many preachers seem to point to this...

Nobody knows, Mary. We can only hope. It would be great to have Him return while we are still alive. Believers have been hoping this for centuries. It isn't for anyone to know when He will come again.

The move toward one world religion and one government seem to be accelerating. I wonder if it will happen very quickly or be drawn out. Either way we have nothing to fear!

We are criminalizing normal relations and legalizing gay marriage. I think we are in the 6th trumpet.

Mathew 24 is such an interesting chapter! I have read and listened to many reputable men's breakdown of these scriptures! IMO most of the scriptures are tribulation verses, BUT some I'm just not sure about!

I think that Jesus starts out talking about pre-trib end times of which we are in now! Then the verses seem to indicate the possibility of the tribulation! Verse 15 is definitely the middle of the tribulation when the Anti-Christ stands n the temple, 'the abomination that causes desolation' and those in Judea are told to flee to the mountains.

We have a very close friend that ,along with a specific group of people, don't believe in the rapture or that the tribulation is 7 years long. They believe that verses 22 thru 25 is a warning to all of us who believe in the rapture. They believe that many of us will follow the Anti- Christ thinking that it is Jesus calling us in the rapture. I believe that verse 29-31 is describing the coming of our Lord with his Bride that had already been raptured , at least, 7 years previously.

Then starting at verse 32, He seems to go back to describing the time leading up to the tribulation!

And then comes verse 39! Is Jesus describing those that will be taken at the rapture or those that are saved and left to populate the earth during the millennium? I have heard excellent arguments for both and I can honestly admit that I am not fully convinced of either.

I think that this chapter has progressively become clearer the closer we get to the coming of our Savior!

I would love to hear your opinion and of any others on this very important chapter on prophecy! I think that we will be the generation that will see these things come to pass! IMHO

To answer your question... I think it's very possible that something is going to happen catastrophic to bring about a change to the one world government! I think that it's very possible that the disappearance of those from the rapture and the aftermath of it may bring about this change.
