Schumer has the upper hand because the Democrats control the House and any shutdown will be blamed on the GOP by the MSM.

I think Trump already told the two libs that HE would shut down the government.

The republican’s ldont have the votes in the house or the senate and they control both, Trump has a better chance getting money for his wall from Mexico like he promised.

I'll add my 2 cents for whatever that is worth. Yes, Trump has an enormous ego (as does Schumer as Proud pointed out). Trump also has a habit of talking tough, and then compromising later and calling it a great win. But in this case, he has too much riding upon this issue as Kreiger pointed out. My best guess is that he milks this issue for all he can, making the sniveling pussy Republicans in both Houses, and the Never Trumper Democrats show their ineptitude to fund his wall, and then uses money from the defense budget to begin construction, and claims that this was necessary as a last resort. Plausible?
