Democrats won the Midterm popular vote by 8.8 million votes, the highest majority in our history, and gained 39 House seats
Trump got rightly thumped. America is waking up to this budding autocrat. I'm waiting for others here to open their eyes and drop their Tribal blindness. However, the recent revelation that Trump wanted to prosecute his political enemies, Clinton and Comey, might end the Trump madness or any bid for 2020.
Section 4 of Article Two of the United States Constitution: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." The charge of high crimes and misdemeanors covers allegations of misconduct by officials, such as perjury of oath, abuse of authority, bribery, intimidation, misuse of assets, failure to supervise, dereliction of duty, unbecoming conduct, refusal to obey a lawful order, chronic intoxication, and tax evasion. Trump's attempt to influence the Justice Department to pursue investigating Comey and Clinton is a clear case of "abuse of power," a high crime violation of his office. Don't believe me--but this a very bigly deal. The president is in deep, deep trouble. He has committed an impeachable offense.

Presidents almost always lose a few dozen House seats in the midterms. Barack Obama lost 63 in 2010 and Bill Clinton lost 52 in 1994.
https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-actually-did-way-better-than-obama-in-his-first-midterm-2018-11It is not improper to look into prosecuting criminals even if they are political opponents.
And There's No Such Thing As A Mid-Term Popular Vote

I have been seeing you for at least the entire two years of his presidency lie and distort everything about Trump. You are attempting sedition along with all the low life's in that commie party.
I think the supreme Court should reverse the warren court that gave the news media the right to lie.`

Because It Wasn't In Congressional History
Your Outlets Are Admitting They're Only Democrats ??
Tell Me More About 'Faux News'...
Besides,
This Gain Is Still Eclipsed By Their Losses When They Lose

So in effect your are saying that the GOP will use their power and ignore the rule of law, even if evidence supports impeachment, to suit their best interests. Curious. That makes America great again?

In effect, what you're saying is give him a fair trial and then hang him. That most certainly defies greatness, not to mention the rule of law.

Exactly. "[G]ive him a fair trial," and 'IF there is evidence,' as I stated, "then hang him"--don't abuse the power of the Senate to not prosecute.
