Your stats of comparing year-to-year spending are quite deceiving. Case in pointa change from $1 trillion to $1.1 trillion is a 10 percent increase in year to year spending where a change from $750 billion to $850 billion is a 13.2 percent increase. But the actual dollar averages are QUITE different, $1.05 trillion compared to $800 billion. Get my drift?
