The Democrats Have Made a Very Powerful Enemy

Say whatever you want about Brett Kavanaugh’s testimony on Thursday. Say you believe him, say you don’t. Say you liked his temperament, say you hated it. Whatever you thought about it, there’s one objective thing you can’t deny: Kavanaugh is angry, aggrieved, and he knows exactly where to point the finger. He made that clear again and again throughout the hearing. He understands perfectly well who was behind the – as Donald Trump put it – total con job that has – as Brett Kavanaugh put it – destroyed his reputation and his family.
If he can put these piercing memories behind him, he is a hell of a lot better man than anyone we know.
If he can’t, then Democrats made the worst mistake of their lives.
Ever since Kavanaugh was nominated to become the next Supreme Court justice, Democrats have invented all kinds of wild tales about his inability to put aside his partisanship, his extremist views on abortion and women’s rights, and the unique threat he poses to the very republic. This was all such nonsense that it was hard to take seriously. The echoes of “Trump is the next Hitler” were unmistakable. Democrats can no longer have a simple ideological disagreement with someone; to be heard, they have to have the loudest voices in the room. And this has led to some stunningly absurd remarks.
But now? At this point? Boy, Democrats have created themselves a monster. We don’t endorse a man taking thoughts of revenge with him to the Supreme Court, and that’s not what we’re saying Kavanaugh intends to do. No, no. It’s much simpler and much more dangerous to the left than that. Kavanaugh has looked into the eyes of evil and has seen, very clearly, what the Democratic Party and the larger American Left is all about. He can never unsee what he has seen over the past two weeks. You don’t think that will color his decision-making? You don’t think that will give him pause when the Democrats and their cohorts bring a case before the high court? It’s literally impossible to imagine.
Not only is Kavanaugh under no obligation to put what happened to him in these confirmation hearings behind him, he would be unwise to do so. He has learned a valuable (if extremely painful) lesson about the political divide in this country.
They say that if you want to take the king out, you’d better not miss. As of Friday morning, it appears that the Democrats and their attempt to take Kavanaugh out has been a miss. And now they have what they warned about from the beginning: A Supreme Court justice who understands – really understands – what kind of people fly the flag on the American Left.
Good luck subpoenaing the President, Mr. Mueller.

Good luck with whatever you are planning. The only flaw in your thinking.... the President told the FBI to interview anyone they want. If the FBI finds nothing on Judge K.... then he will most probably be seated. Once he is seated, his childhood and college years mistakes can not be held against him. Certainly, neither he nor his family can ever forget this horrible and very personal experience played out for the entire country, if not the world. Nevertheless, I want to think he actually is a man of integrity and will not lose that now and will, on all court rulings base his decisions on the constitution, not the railings, though ugly and harmful, of a small percentage of Americans.

I believe you're correct, but he may become a little more pragmatic to make decisions ONLY based on the constitution and the laws of the land. Not some word Smith's twisting and corrupting of same.
