I've watched this video three times so that I can prepare Mrs. B. a gormay meal that will make her proud of me! I even made a special trip to the store, and bought some extra thick pork blend filets, and some of that French bread.
We'll be eatin good tonite!

Archie, I have no doubt she appreciates your efforts to have a very romantic meal with her. I’m sure, too, that you could just taken her to Olive Garden and she would’ve been just as appreciative.

Arch,
I have had all of them at one time or another.
Absolutely delicious, but as I am gettin older,
Those culinary delights present more and more
Of a challenge because of my arthritis.
You should also try that poted meat spread that
Comes in the skinny little can. It’s really good too.

Priceless and I wouldn't make fun of him either. The Caucasian bread and flavor-saving seal cracked me up. Can't believe he didn't add a slice of cheese. I grew up on that stuff.

I've eaten my fair share of potted meat over the years. Good stuff!

Yes sir, and so is deviled ham with thin dill pickle slices. I have an odd sandwich favorite I'll share with you Arch, peanut butter on one slice, mayo on the other, and a sliced banana in the middle, yum-yum good. The few people who I got to try it, love it. You can kick it up a notch and drizzle a little honey on the nanner before you close it up and take a bite. But nothing beats a tomato w/mayo sandwich in summer w/salt and pepper to taste. Works better than Gatorade. It helps if the tomato is an heirloom brand and freshly picked and you've dug post holes all morning. Then it's manna from Heaven.

Now we're talking real food here!
I've always loved Deviled Ham, but since I went mostly salt free a few years back, it tastes too salty now. Like a lot of other delicious, gourmet products.

My Granddad in New Mexico had bees, and sent us gallon jugs of dark brown honey straight from the hive. Pureed nut spread, and honey was almost a staple growing up. I didn't use Caucasian bread, unless I had no choice, though. I've always preferred the non-caucasion kind myself.
Now, I'm curious about the mayo thing you mentioned. Are you talking real mayo, or Miricle Whip? That just sounds strange with pureed nut spred.
I'm all good with banana. Never tried honey with it, but now I will!;
That sounds WAY better than pureed nut spread, banana, and a grape reduction!

Miracle Whip should be banned like DDT. Helmans and Blue Plate only unless you're buying the store brand at HEB. I know it sounds a little weird but when combined it becomes something special to my taste buds.

Speaking of bread, I love Sourdough, Rye, and Pumpernickel. Remember when bread was 8 cents a loaf, then it jumped to 10 cents and all the moms were hot to trot. I only ate bagels with cream cheese or toasted with butter. You had to cut out the salt and I had to cut out carbs. Just shoot me now, ha. Need to try almond flour bread to see if it's edible.

Don't know your relationship with beets, I hate them, but if you puree them and add apple juice or something else you like it will lower your BP. Or you can even dehydrate them and grind them up into powder. Put a spoonful in your glass of water add a little grape or cherry flavor and drink up. At least it worked for me. I'm off my BP meds completely and if I had to give up salt too, oh, don't want to even think about that.

I'll have to test drive your mayo/pureed nut spread thing.....

As for beets, my wife keeps this powder stuff that you put in water, and makes me drink it. I drink a lot of water, and it's not bad to have a little flavor in it now, and then.
I still have packets of it in my desk at work. Don't tell her though.....you'll get me in trouble! I'm supposed to drink one packet a night.

I like boiled beets sliced or chopped with a little salt, pepper, oil and vinegar and sliced raw onions. Makes a great salad. Add some tough-crusted non-Caucasian bread to sop up the juices and it is lunch. Doesn't go well with beer for me.
