The Mindset of Integrity

With my modicum of intelligence and my limited first-hand knowledge of what's what, who's who, and of course where's where, why's why, when's when, and how's how, I am constrained to sift through the internet sources, the MSM, and TV talking heads to come to some semblance of the truth and the real situation. I cannot affect any of these on-going threads of thought and action coursing through the Washington scene. I can only react with my miserable and tardy vote to attempt to deflect the situation in the way I see best for our beloved nation.

A long time ago I came to the simple conclusion that any form of collectivism is bad for the citizenry of any nation, especially ours! I do not want to be under a government that is run by elites with military support that considers the citizenry to be inferior, most not worth raising up in well-being, knowledge or well-loved possessions such as a comfortable homestead, a decent automobile, and a satisfactory life style. That is for the elites.

I want my freedom of action to go where I want to go, say what is on my mind without retribution, worship the God I love, and call my homestead my castle, and defend it against intruders. I want to be able to become an entrepreneur and build things on a larger scale than I can alone that help to make things better for many lives. That is what our Constitution promises, including the amendments, and it is easily read by anyone not prone to find second or third order meanings in the very plain words of that document.

Belief in the brotherhood of man may be passé today, but it is true if not subverted by ambitious, evil, and narcissistic men, who seek power, wealth, and adulation. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a cure for these maladies that unfailingly turns such men into true brothers. But we do come close when we all strive to be upstanding American citizens, living the values of the American way of life, believing in the family. respecting the rule of law. worshiping the Christian God and following the moral dictates of the religion.

Influencing friends and acquaintances in the neighborhood and at work with these prescriptions is one way to build a movement in such an ideal direction. At least show the way to moral integrity in one's American life; not everyone is inclined to be Christian, but they can possess such integrity in our society.

For me the watchwords are God; Country and Family.
