We did it and I am glad..
Just to vent a bit..
getting old is most diffecult at times..
but I gave into it despite the embarrasment..
for years, we have wanted a little deck added to the "side yard" on our house, not much to see, the wife building a rose garden that is showing color and form this year..
and it has a door off the basement stair which has never got real use because it has no steps outside..
So, I judged, after some argument that I could no longer build the darn deck by myself..
Called a pro, they got the deck built in a couple days.. I am glad I did it...
Nothing to do but walk around and add my vast knowledge to their efforts..
After some practice lounging on it this afternoon, I gotta say it is fun to have..
glad I spent the money.. Wifes rose garden, the bird feed station and trees are all that is on that side, but nice to sit and drink coffee..
AHH life is so good for those in the golden years... someone never said..

Sounds beautiful! I'm glad you were there to supervise. Heaven only knows what they would've produced otherwise

We have gone the same route on a number of projects in recent years. Fortunately, we have friends who can be hired to do the projects we can't do on our own. Actually they would do so without pay, but we don't believe in using people so they get paid, end of discussion.

Thank you all, I am surprised how much I like this. not much to look at or see past trees and the yard.. but the rose garden will be nice..
That side of the yard butts on around 90 acres of trees so I dragged my feet for years.. but now feels so good..
Nice to hear others doing things also.. thanks again..
