No, not really. When obama left office the unemployment rate was close to 5 percent. The unemployment rate when he took office was 7.8. And it got worse, almost reaching 10 percent and did not start a downward trend until 2016. I believe that the business seeing the end of his rule, and with promises from Trump, they started hiring again. When President Trump took over, unemployment was at 4.8 and is now 3.9.
