There can be no doubt that the Republican party is turning into the party of Trump. Principled conservatives no longer have a place to hide in that party. Since Trump is not a conservative (he is a Trumpist), those folks are now called the 'never Trump'ers, and join the "RINO"s in Republican party hell.
Where does that leave us?

Trump now has the political apparatus to do some real damage to our nation. His paranoia, megalomania (remember his 'I'm the only one who can fix this' campaign?) can now be turned into policy. He wants to control the media (doesn't get the concept of a Google algorithm) and now claims that the opposition (that's the Democrats) will be violent if they were to win.

My question for you conservatives is this: where are you going to draw the line? Does this man have to kill someone before you tell him not to be an idiot. He is talking openly about suppressing opposition. He now has the means to do it. Are you going to stop him?

Sorry...forgot. Does anyone here think that Trump's fight with the DOJ is anything other than his attempt to personalize law enforcement? L'etat c'est moi. How can conservatives even think of justifying that?

I know he is personalizing the DOJ he is obstructing Justice with his tweets his actions. But oversight in Congress is gone. What people in this country need to understand what Trump is doing. When the Muellar investigation is complete, it gets turned over to the Justice Department when that happens it’s the head of the DOJ to determine where that report goes. It either gets sent to Congress or the DOJ can put it in a safe and it will never see the light of day. That’s what Trump wants put it in the safe and he can continue with his pathological lies and his base will love it.

Here’s what’s happening the Cowards meaning House Republicans and senate republicans are willing to sacrifice and give control over the house to get rid of Trump then they can get back to there propaganda and blame everything on democrats. Americans have always been easy prey for con artists. Whether patent medicines or being charged to see the egress by PT Barnum, Americans love a good con. Historian Page Smith points out that 'Smart and Slick, Inc.' has been a hallmark of American history and I believe we are seeing a manifestation of that with Trump.

He is the great bamboozler and I wonder how long his victims will enable him. I'm actually kind of stunned and amazed at what his supporters tolerate and how far will they go to help Trump cover his crime sprees in the NYC real estate business.

You said Americans are easy prey with Con artist. Most Americans are not as you could see that 3.5 million more Americans did not vote for Trump. It was only 72,000 votes across three states in Russian targeted districts that gave Trump the eloctoral college victory and as evidence comes out it is starting to show Trump knew about all of it and coordinated the Clinton dirt with the Russians.

Let’s face it without the Comey bomb shell on Clinton 10 days before the election and the Russian propaganda, Trumps two affairs, and hacking, being kept classified Trump would never have been the President. I was never a Clinton supporter but we would have been a hell of a lot better with Clinton than Trump.

Trump has been able to get away with the rule of law because of his money and people like Cohen who threatens or pays hush money along with David Pecker at the esquire to catch and kill anything negative about Trump. ( AS DAVID PECKER REPORTED THERES MORE) Then his money guy at Trump tower that authorized hush money payments and use as a tax deferment. His base totally ignores his connection to the NY mob and his invovlement with the Russian mob who used Trump to launder billions of dollars Putin is stealing from his country. All ignored and the State Of NY now has the Trump family crime unit. Muellar is smart also he has turned over all evidence collected on the state level. Trump May get away with Collusion, Obstruction, and Campaign finance violation but when he gets out of Office Trump and his crime family will be facing charges from the State of NY. He can’t pardon himself for a state crime only on federal charges.

Now just a thought for you to do a little reseach. Trump will fire Sessions before the Muellar investigation is complete. Only for one reason he will put a new AG of his choice in place. Rosenstein will be pushed out and remove his security clearances Trump will allow the Muellar investigation to continue and at the end of the investigation it’s the new AG Of Trumps choice to make a decision as to what’s to be done with the Muellar report. The AG has two choices either turn it over to Congress for impeachment procedures or take that report put it in a safe and it will never see the light of day and Trump will use the old excuse (RELEASEING THIS DOCUMENT BE A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE AND IT WILL REMAIN SECRET) It’s called the Trump way of catch and kill anything negative.

But what this country needs to do and you have to understand Trump is not stupid but he is a major crook he always has been. But this country without a doubt is facing one of the most important mid term election in the history of this country. They have to block this Supreme Court appointee that’s first. Then they have to get out the vote and get control of the House and the senate. It’s the only way to stop Trumps agenda of catch and kill anything negative about him. With control of the House and Senate a proper investigation will be done with requiring these people in Trump world to testify under oath in front of the American people. Republicans did this with the phony Clinton Benghazi Scandels where the private email server was exposed. The state department knew about this server and it was no big deal because all her government emails sent to the government were all through State Department severs.what Clinton refused to do was release her private emails. All government emails were saved that's why Clinton asked the state department to release them. The State Department out of 30,000 emails found 7 emails that were questioned as to there classified status of which they were unclassified when she wrote them. But the GOP propaganda used was these were classified documents. There also was no evidence that any foreign adversary hacked into her private server it was only the DNC server that was hacked. But Trump will misinform the American people as to Clinton Emails versus DNC Emails.

Now unlike Trump Clinton testified under oath in a televised forum, before the House, Senate, FBI, State Department, DOJ and the independent Council appointed by the Republican lead congress. Six investigation all at the same time how can you call it a conspiracy, do we not use a little common sense that you would need thousands of public officials to create a conspiracy this large. But Trump refuses to testify as Clinton did. When the Clinton investigation was done they found nothing wrong with the handling of the Benghazi Scandels and she did not break any laws with her email server other than she used bad judgment. The law was changed on regulations of private email servers when Kerry became Secratary of State. But the OPP Trump world likes to use how Clinton broke the law and she should be locked up.

But the House and Senate hearing were ongoing right up to the election of Trump. Once Trump was elected the Republicans quietly dropped there investigation and buried the report of no indictable offenses.

I agree with much of what you say. I also try to remind myself that 65M Americans did not vote for the President. My faith in the country remains unshaken. It's why we vote.
