It was raised to full staff yesterday and only when the Vetrins got invovled did Trump order it back to half staff. WTF is it with you people he ordered it back to full staff it took national pressure and his administration to put it back to half staff. Damm what is it with you people.

Several govornors had ordered flags at half mast, Texas among them, Trump joined the cry, but I can't catch whether all states pretty much went along with it. It certainly is not an automatic thing like it is when any senator or representative dies. And state govornors do not decide whether to order flags to be raised because they don't like the person.

Trump ordered the white house flag to be raised, not some mysterious deep state operative who wanted to make the idiot look like an idiot.

He isn't being beat up because he had it lowered again, he's being beat up because he raised it in the first place.

My guess is that the majority of people across the US just knew that the flag would be raised at half staff, so Trump is the only one petty and vindictive enough to go there.

It had been flown at half staff Sunday, and being flown that way until he was interred is the standard deal. I'll bet the person in charge of raising the flag knew that. My guess is that not another person in charge of raising flags in the US had any confusion about how the flag was to be raised Monday.

I'm not clear about the exact timing of when the flag was raised at full staff Monday, is it lowered at night and then re raised every morning?

Will you answer my question? How do you know that Trump ordered that the flag be risen to full staff from half staff? Where does it say he actually did that? The protocol for flying the flag for a SENATOR was followed by White House staff, and Trump had to write a proclamation, as Pennylynn has pointed out several times now, to lower the flag back to half staff, which is contrary to the laws regarding flag flying at the White House.

BTW, the flag is never raised to half staff.... it is lowered to half staff. As it first is raised to full staff and then lowered to honor the passing of an individual.
