President Trump made a staggering 976 false or misleading claims during June and July, according to The Fact Checkerâs database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement uttered by the president.
With nearly 1,000 claims packed into two months, itâs clear weâve entered a new phase of Trumpâs presidency. The June-July tally represents 23 percent of the grand total of 4,229 faulty claims since Trump took office.
During the presidentâs first 100 days, he averaged 4.9 claims a day. Now, heâs averaging 7.6 claims a day. Put another way: In his first year as president, Trump made 2,140 false or misleading claims. In the six months since, he made another 2,089, nearly doubling his total in half the time.

What can be said? Trump is the best liar ever in history, at least since Lincoln's time, no president has ever come close. He lies about the lies, seemingly unaware of when there is video that says different.
